Chay Long (Berlin)
Updated: Mar 24
Chay Long is a beautiful restaurant in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin.
The cosy atmosphere and the fresh Vietnamese kitchen will make sure you will have an excellent vegan experience.
As an appetiser, I had the Pyramid Dumpling - a North Vietnamese speciality made with rice flour, mushrooms, onions, "vegan" ground meat filling. All wrapped in banana leaf. A unique dish indeed!
With the pyramid dumpling, I enjoyed the Cha Lá Lot: grilled organic tofu, oyster mushrooms and herbs wrapped in wild betel.
Both were excellent and prepared my stomach to the coming main dish.
The main dish was a crispy pancake filled with organic tofu, mushrooms and bean sprouts and served with homemade dip and fresh herbs. I was NOT disappointed.
Chay Long is a very cosy and charming restaurant that serves excellent Vietnamese coffee with vegan condensed milk. I am a big fan of Vietnamese coffee is one of my favourites and it is not easy to find a tasty vegan one. You will find it in Chay Long.
