In the heart of the trendy Friedrichshain quarter in Berlin, rests one of the nicest surprises I had with this blog.
I knew the name Akkawy for a while but did not have the chance to try, even though I am a big fan of middle-eastern food and Hummus in particular, so when I did had the chance, I was really happy.
I was recommended to try the Cauliflower in Tahini by the owners and god knows I was NOT disappointed.
Zahra (the cauliflower in tahini), is a superb and delicious dish that will complement any of the other excellent plates in Akkawy.
Let's get to the point, the Hummus.
The Hummus is incredible.
I had the Hummus Pilze (with Mushrooms) and I enjoyed every bite of it with the fresh warm Pitas served with it.
In addition to the cauliflower and the Hummus, the salads in Akkawy are fresh, delicious and right on the spot.
Pricing: Hummus Pilze (8 EUR), Salad (7 EUR), Cauliflower in Tahini (9.5 EUR)
